About me
Hello, I’m Sebastian Perkes, founder of The English Masterclass.
Having grown up with a British father and an Austrian mother, English and German were part of my everyday life from the very beginning. This bilingual background enables me to understand exactly where German speakers reach their limits in business English, and how they can overcome these challenges in a targeted way.
Today, I help professionals, executives and entrepreneurs to express themselves clearly, precisely and confidently in an international environment.
As a TEFL/TESOL-certified trainer (The TEFL Org., 2023), I focus on practical communication. The emphasis is on real-life business situations: meetings, presentations, negotiations and collaboration in international teams.
Before becoming a coach, I worked in customer service within the Austrian printing industry, where I was responsible for communicating with clients, handling complaints and managing complex orders. This experience has had a lasting impact on my approach to professional communication.
After starting my teaching career in Finnland, I founded The English Masterclass in 2023. Since then, I have been supporting professionals from international companies and organisations, including executives, engineers, journalists, politicians and entrepreneurs, on their journey towards greater confidence and precision in English.
My approach combines linguistic expertise with real-world business experience. The aim is not just to improve your English, but to enable you to use it confidently in key professional situations.
